About The Author

Matt Fitzpatrick grew up in a very politically active and connected Irish-Catholic family. He is a US Coast Guard licensed sea captain on top of having a very successful 25-year career in the investment management industry. He describes his first novel as "Boston Grit." Matt lives on Cape Cod.

From The Author

Matt's dream to be a writer started around age eight. He was an only child at the time, and with no siblings, books and his dad’s record collection became his companions. Books provided a connection to interesting people and wondrous places. He began by reading Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary, but quickly moved on to Stephen King and Peter Straub.

Matt is proud to have grown up in Lowell, MA. That city's Pollard Memorial Library is named after is maternal grandfather, and his involvement there was a spark to ignite his love of writing.

As a 100-ton Coast Guard Master license holder, Matt has a lifelong passion for the sea.

He's the proud father of two daughters, Nicole and Kailee, who continue to inspire him every day.

Matt's a recovering 25-year stockbroker, and lives on Cape Cod with his wife, Jennifer.
